Welcome to the GovCX Awards
Do you know of a government that’s providing great digital citizen experiences (CX)? Do you have a favourite government digital service? We want to hear from you!
Nominations for GovCX are now closed. Winners will be announced in April 2018.
The GovCX Awards aims to identify and celebrate the best in digital government services around the world. GovCX is about the ‘citizen experience’ of government—that is, the experience that citizens have when they interact with government services. Sometimes this is in person, sometimes it is over the phone. But today, many citizens expect to interact with government through digital channels.
The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), through the GovCX Awards, wants to identify and celebrate world-class governments that are providing great digital CX to their citizens.
In recent years, many governments have made significant progress in the design and delivery of digital services that better meet their citizens’ needs. This work often goes unrecognised. BCG wants to change that!
GovCX is the first global initiative designed to acknowledge and celebrate governments that offer their citizens the best possible digital experience, and inspire others along the way.
GovCX will showcase great digital CX from governments around the world, to celebrate their achievement and to inspire others.
The winners of GovCX will be announced in April 2018. More information can be found here.
WHAT’S A DIGITAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE?
A digital government service is any service that is provided digitally by a government organisation to individuals or businesses. Examples of digital services include:
· Information services: those that do not require an individual to give personal details in order to access the service. For example, this could be things like:
- A website that provides information on how to apply for a passport
- An app that provides a weather service
- Local traffic updates
· Transactional services: those which do require individuals to provide personal details in order to complete the transaction. For example, a transactional service could be:
- Applying for a passport online
- Completing an online tax return
- Paying a parking fine online
Any digital government service can be entered in the GovCX Awards. More information on eligibility and entering can be found here
